Annual General Membership Meeting
November 17, 4 pm - 6 pm
UW Faculty Forward will be holding its annual General Membership Meeting on Friday, November 17, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on the UW Seattle campus, HUB 145. The first half of the meeting will feature a talk by Dr. Susan Hegeman followed by discussion with audience members. Dr. Hegeman is Professor of English at the University of Florida and Communications Chair and former President for United Faculty of Florida, UF Chapter, so her comments and perspective are sure to be helpful for the work we’re doing at UW.
During the second half of the meeting, we will meet and hear from this year’s candidates for election to the UWFF Steering Committee, as well as discuss some of our strategic goals and important issue campaigns for this year’s work. Both Dr. Hegeman’s talk during the first hour and our discussions during the second hour will be important for our organizing efforts, so please mark your calendars and plan on attending!
June 1, 4pm - 6pm
University of Washington
Faculty Forward invites you to a panel discussion about these issues, followed by a clinic from the Electronic Frontier Foundation on digital privacy and rights. The panel will feature stories and Q&A from UW faculty members and other academics affected by and working on these issues, discussing strategies for addressing them.
